OFF TO THE BUNNY RACES!

The boys and I had so much fun crafting the Peeps® Bunny Race Cars and the Nesting Chicks and Eggs in the previous posts.  I could hardly wait for the next project … to build a Bunny Race Track!

Yes!  A race track, complete with Bunny Racers, Bunny Pit Crews, and a cheering crowd of Nesting Chicks and Eggs!

I lined the tabletop with kraft paper and used leftover marshmallow creme to affix the pit crew and tires to the track sidelines. I purchased a natural table runner from Target to serve as the track terrain.  You can find it here, or a similar one here.

I think a Bunny Race Track would make an adorable centerpiece for a kids’ Easter dinner table.  What do you think?

Oh, one last thing!  Notice I didn’t say “we”, but “I” constructed the race track.  By the time we got to this point, the boys were like, “been there done that.”

As the sun began to set, the boys seemed way more interested in the fishing pond we set up in the backyard using an inflatable pool and a couple of magnetic fishing pool sets.  They had a blast and caught quite a few fish!  Here’s a few shots I captured.
